Al-Madinah International University Participates in the Public-Private Research Network (PPRN) Conference

A number of academic staff from Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) participated in the Public-Private Research Network (PPRN) Conference, held on 7 April 2026, as part of the university’s commitment to strengthening its research presence and engaging in national initiatives that support collaboration between academia and industry.

Representing the university at the conference were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Popoola Kareem Hamed, Shuhaidah Ahmad Ramly, and Syasya Athirah Binti Ahmad Azmee. Their participation aimed to explore the latest trends in applied research and to foster effective research partnerships.

The conference is part of the Public-Private Research Network (PPRN), an initiative under the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE), which seeks to connect universities with industry players to address real-world challenges faced by various sectors through applied research that delivers practical, short-term solutions.

This initiative also aims to enhance productivity and innovation within the industrial sector, while promoting knowledge transfer between academic institutions and the private sector, thereby contributing to better alignment between research outputs and market needs.

MEDIU’s participation in this conference reflects its ongoing commitment to advancing applied research and expanding its network with relevant stakeholders, in line with its strategic direction towards achieving academic and research excellence.
