Under the patronage of Prof. Madya Ts. Dr. Ammar Bathich, Chief Executive of Al-Madinah International University, Al-Madinah International University organised the “Wave the Jalur Gemilang” Campaign on the morning of 27 August 2026, in conjunction with the 69th anniversary of Malaysia’s independence. The initiative aimed to foster patriotism, a sense of belonging, and appreciation for the nation’s history and achievements.
The event was attended by members of the University’s academic and administrative community as well as students, who came together to wave the Jalur Gemilang in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, joy, unity, and fraternity, demonstrating the University’s participation in celebrating this significant national occasion.
MEDIU’s participation in the “Wave the Jalur Gemilang” Campaign reflects its commitment to engaging with Malaysia’s national celebrations while promoting the values of harmony, unity, and solidarity among members of its diverse university community, comprising students, academics, and staff from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
The event also reflects the University’s appreciation for Malaysia, which hosts Al-Madinah International University and provides an international educational environment that brings together cultural diversity with academic and humanitarian values, contributing to the development of bridges of communication between peoples and cultures.
