Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) Faculty of Computer and Information Technology recently held an open day (gathering) for the faculty’s students on Friday, 9 November 2018. The session aimed to build good lecturer-student relationships in the faculty; through presentation, Q&A session and opportunities for students to gain insights into the campus life as to fosters the students’ sense of belonging to the university and faculty.
The program led by the FCIT Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wael Mohamed Shaher Yafooz in welcoming the students for the gathering and presented an overview of the faculty’s structure, list of academician lecturer, various academic ideas and issues concern. Later, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Najeeb Abbas Al-Sammarraie; Deputy Dean for Postgraduate Studies gave a brief session on the academic programs available by the respective faculty’s department.
Mr. Samer Bamansoor, Head of Information Technology Department presented on the career pathway and opportunities once graduated, while Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdallah Mahmoud Mousa Altrad, Head of Computer Department brief on the faculty’s rules and regulations, communication guidelines and such to the students.
At the end of the session, FCIT honored its students with an Appreciation Certificate who received the highest marks in different levels of the faculty’s departments for the Best Final Year Project and Best Industrial Training Student.
