The students of Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) attended the national Seminar on Wasatiyyah & Governance with the theme of ‘Prestasi Perkhidmatan Sebagai Pemangkin Ummah 2017’ on Tuesday, 10 October 2017 held in the Auditorium of the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia (JAKIM), Putrajaya.
The Malaysian Students Association of MEDIU (PERMAM) personnel comprising Muhammad Hafiz Bin Noraman Shah, Muhammad Ali Bin Salleh, Muhammad Khairulza’im Bin Ariffin, Nurul Syahirah Bt Mat Yasin and Nur Syafiqah Nabilah Bt Amirudin attended the seminar to meet the invitation from the organizers namely the University of Malaya Islamic Studies Academy (APIUM), The Malaysian Islamic Economic Development Foundation (YaPEIM) and Wasatiyah Institution of Malaysia.
The seminar was aimed at applying Islamic values in the public service activities based on the concept of wasatiyyah which was officiated by YB Major General Jamil Khir bin Baharom (B), Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, as forum presenters.
Among the presenters of the paper were Professor Emeritus Dato’ Paduka Dr Mahmood Zuhdi Abd Majid, Associate Professor Dr. Sharifah Hayati Syed Ismail, Assoc. Professor Dr. Sharifah Latifah Syed Abdul Kadir, Assoc. Professor Dr. Siti Arni Basir, Ustaz Zakaria bin Othman, Dr. Mohd Affandii Mat Rani, Associate Professor Dr. Ilhamie Abdul Ghani Azmi, Dr. Azah Anir Norman and Dr. Raja Jamilah Raja Yusof. Meanwhile, the panellists were YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr. Zulkurnain Hj. Awang, YBhg. Datuk Dr. Mohd Tap bin Saleh and YBhg. Dato’ Hj. Mohd. Yusof bin Din.
