Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) panels and officers visited MEDIU for its accreditation visit for its bachelor academic program for the Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences on 12-13 October 2017. The delegation panels were Assoc. Prof Dr. Nik Mutasim Nik Ab. Rahman (UIM), Assoc. Prof Dr. Haji Othman Chin (UNITEN), Dr. Mad Ithnin Salleh (UPSI) and Dr. Liew Teik Kooi (Wawasan Open University) meanwhile MQA officer were represented by Puan Nurul Najmi Alias and Puan ‘Aisyah Amaran.
The visit has involved international delegates namely Mrs. Joyce Anastasia Adam, Samoa Qualifications Authority (SOA); Mrs Lupepauu Fololina Ikani from Tonga National Qualifications And Accreditation Board; Mr. Kittikantaphong Sribuawnam, Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment, Thailand (ONESQA), Thailand and Mr. Haji Abdul Aziz Haji Abd Ghaffarfrom Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council (BDNAC), Ministry Of Education. The delegates merely as observers to the processes involved in the accreditation and were accompanied by MQA’s Center for Training and Quality Assurance personnel, Puan Norhafizah Jusoh; Chief Assistant Director and Cik Asmaa’ Suid; Assistant Director.
The bachelor academic program that was being evaluated is Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) in Management-MQA/FA 0799(OL) and MQA/PA0629(OC).The delegation was welcomed by Dean, Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences (FFAS), Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Ali Alkhawlani with the academic faculty members, registrar personnel as well as administrative officers. The evaluation of the programs involves discussion and interview session with the deans and lecturers, reviewing of documentation as well as interviewing the students and lecturers.
