27/2017 Executive Management Council(EMC) Meeting

MEDIU’s CEO, Prof. Emeritus Dr.Ismawi bin Zen chaired the 27^th Executive Management Council on Tuesday, 11 July 2017. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO’s from all respective departments as well as executive management level. Various agenda were being addressed and discoursed in the meeting.

The EMC has agreed and approved on the matter as follow:

• To approve on the partial fees payment of seven (7) Bachelor student (OL) with (M) status.
• To assign new candidate in the Enterprise and Internal System Development (EISD) as follow:

• To assign new candidates in the Academic Division-Faculty of Engineering as follow:

• To extend the contract duration of the academic supervisor from two years to three years based on recommendation of MQA and MOHE to ensure the continuity and the consistency of post graduate student supervision.
• To approve on the restructure the Faculty of Engineering and establish cooperation with KOSAS.
• To appoint ‘Yousef Ali Mohammed Al-Gumaei’ as Head of Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department.
• To establish Language Editing and Translation Unit under the Faculty of Languages.
• To approve on the subject distribution of Foundation in Arabic Language and Islamic Sciences for the lecturer of Faculty of Languages in April 2017.
• To approve on the subject distribution of Foundation in Arabic Language and Islamic Sciences for the lecturer of Faculty of Languages in June 2017.
• To promote ‘Yousef Ali Mohammed Al-Gumaei’ as ‘Asst. Prof’ in the Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department.
• To approve the benchmarking visit of the Deanship of University Development and Quality (DEUQ) to three universities offering open distance learning (ODL) in Malaysia which are Open University Malaysia (OUM), Wawasan Open University (WOU) and Asia e University (AEU).
• To approve the estimated budget for scientific research and development for the year 2017- 2018
