MoU with The Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), Jeddah

MEDIU step forward in extending bridges of cooperation and moving ahead towards achieving its objective and vision, as well to be in connection with international organization. Recently, MEDIU signed a memorandum of understanding with The Islamic Research and Training Institute, Jeddah on Tuesday, 14 February 2017.

The agreement was in the framework of training cooperation and the adoption of the training curriculum between the two parties and was signed between MEDIU’s Honorable CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi and IRTI’s Director General, Dr. Muhammad Azmi Omar. The partnership aims to strengthen cooperation between the two universities, especially in the field of training and education services. The signing ceremony was held following CEO’s working visit to Saudi Arabia in October 2016 in a convocation with several charities and organizations of Islamic education organization, with the intention to burn the spirit of the cooperation between the two sides. The agreement stipulates to promote training and research and academic relations between the two parties through capacity development and sharing of resources and initiatives, training and consulting in the areas of common interest.

The Islamic Institute for Research and Training (IRTI) (http://www.irti.org/) is a member of the Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, was established to develop research that enables the exercise of economic, financial and banking activities in the Islamic states in accordance with the provisions of Islamic law, and to provide training for workers in the developmental activities in the Member States of the Islamic Development Bank.
