Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) had an official visit to Zakat House of Kuwait on Monday, 24 October 2016. The visit was led by MEDIU’s Honorable CEO, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Tamimi during his working visit to Kuwait recently, n line with the university’s objectives of partnerships with the relevant authorities and build bridges of cooperation between the various Islamic charitable institutions and organizations globally.
The aim of the visit is to strengthen ties between MEDIU and international charitable institutions in various academic and philanthropic areas of educational institutions,where in he was received by the Director General of Zakat House, Dr. Ibrahim Ahmad Abdullah Saleh.
During the discussion, CEO stressed on university’s keen on charity work, particularly in the areas of education support as they harness the full potential to serve students in the best interest of students in science worldwide, where as to discuss aspects of cooperation to provide diverse educational grants between the two parties for the benefit of everyone.
Zakat House in Kuwait is an independent government charitable and humanitarian agency, under the supervision of the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs. The establishment pioneering the step to revive the pillars of Islam and to facilitate the performance on the collection and distribution of Zakat in the best and most efficient permissible ways religiously and disbursed through legitimate channels internally and externally in accordance with the highest quality of excellence in financial and administrative information systems.
