29/2016 Academic Senate Meeting

MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 29^th Academic Senate Meeting on Friday, 2 September 2016. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.

Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:

• To award the student [MHD141BF536] majoring Master in Ulum Al-Hadith (Coursework + Thesis) with CGPA: 3.69
• To award the student [MEC111AM496] majoring Master of Education-Curriculum and Instruction (By Research)
• To award the student [PFQ141BF125] majoring PhD in Fiqh-Curriculum and Instruction (By Research)
• To award the student [MFS111AL153] majoring Master in Fiqh Al-Sunnah (Coursework + Project Paper/Case Study) with CGPA: 3.70
• To award the student [MDW133BB531] majoring Master in Da’wah (Coursework + Project Paper/Case Study) with CGPA: 3.73
• To approve on the amendment of name from ‘Committee of Publishing in Scopus’ to ‘Academic Publishing Support Committee’.
• To approve assigning the names below as committee in the ‘Academic Publishing Support Committee’:
  • Prof.Dr.Wael Mohamed Shaher Yafooz
  • Dr.Zainab binti Abu Bakar
  • Prof.Dr.Mohammed Abdullah Alkhawlani
  • Prof.Dr.Sekou Toure
• To approve in regards to adopting support regulations of publishing in scientific journals.
• To approve on the amendments of sixteen(16) subjects name for the program of Bachelor Business Administration-Management (Hons).
• To approve on the additional of two(2) news subjects for the program of Bachelor Business Administration-Management (Hons) as follows:
  • BMGT3023-Literature Reviews and Publishing
  • BMGT1011-Self Esteem
• To approve on the amendments of nine(9) elective subjects name for the program of Bachelor Business Administration-Management (Hons).
• To approve on the amendments of sixteen(16) subjects name for the program of Bachelor Business Administration-Marketing (Hons).
• To approve on the additional of two(2) news subjects for the program of Bachelor Business Administration-Marketing (Hons) as follows:
  • BMGT3023-Literature Reviews and Publishing
  • BMGT1011-Self Esteem
• To approve on the amendments of nine(9) elective subjects name for the program of Bachelor Business Administration-Marketing (Hons).
