23/2016 Academic Senate Meeting

MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division; Assoc. Prof. Dr Hj. Wan Mat Hj Sulaiman chaired the 23^rd Academic Senate Meeting on Friday, 1 July 2016. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.

Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:

• To award the student [MTF141BE792] majoring Master in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al-Quran (Coursework + Thesis) with CGPA: 3.74
• To award the student [(MAQ141BE354] majoring Master in ‘Aqidah (Coursework + Thesis) with CGPA: 3.72
• To award the student [MQR151BJ679] majoring Master in Qira’aat (By Research)
• To award the student [MDW131BA737] majoring Master in Da’wah (Coursework + Thesis) with CGPA: 3.85
• To award the student [MFQ123AX786] majoring Master in Fiqh (By Research)
• To approve the final results for Semester of Feb 2016 for the bachelor programs in the Faculty of Engineering in the following intake:
  • On Campus – Sept 2013-2015, Feb 2014-2016
• To approve the final results for Semester of Feb 2016 for the bachelor programs in the Faculty of in the following intake:
  • On Campus & On Line – Sept 2010-2015, Feb 2011-2016
• To approve the final results of special exam for the intake of Feb 2016 for Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences (MBM & MBA).
• To approve the final results for Semester of Feb 2016 for the undergraduate program in the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology in the following intake:

• To promote ‘ Prof. Dr. Amal Mahmoud Ali’ to Assoc.Prof according to his google scholar publication.
• To assign selection of external examiners to evaluate the academic researchers specialization of Arabic Language of Assoc.Prof.Dr.AB Rahim Ismail for his promotion to the rank of Professor.
• To assign selection of external examiners to evaluate the academic researchers specialization of Arabic Language of Assoc.Prof.Dr.Daud Quadier Elega for his promotion to the rank of Professor.
• To approval on the extablishment of a scientific journal for the Faculty of Languages under the name of ‘Allsan International Journal for Linguistics & Literary Studies.’
