Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) hosted an official visit to YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, Selangor Chief Minister office by MEDIU’s Board of Governance on Wednesday, 9 March 2016. The delegation visit was led by His Serene Highness Prince Dr. Bandar bin Salman bin Muhammad AlSaud;University Chairman and Former Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques along with university’s council members namely Honorable Dr. Abdul Bari Awwadh AlThobaiti; Imam and Speaker of The Prophet’s Mosque, Honorable Dr. Yahya Ibrahim A. Al Yahya, Prof.Dr.Ashraf Md.Hashim and CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Tamimi.
Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali to welcome delegates universities in playing a role in the dissemination of knowledge, especially in the state of Selangor and he said in a speech during the meeting: “It is a great honor for me to be the host for the official visit from MEDIU’s top management and a very historic meeting from the Selangor State Government. The Government will welcome the good intentions in the education sector development plans in line with the state budget in 2016 to make Malaysia as a regional education hub.”
Prince Dr.Bandar stressed that the university management to approve the implementation of several recommendations in the progress of scientific research and intellectual and creative production for the development of the university and thanked the state government in helping to achieve the aspirations of the university. The session was attended by the State Secretary Dato ‘Mohd Amin Bin Ahmad Ahya and EXCO Education, Mr. Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad in the Chief Minister’s Office Meeting Room.
