MQA Accreditation Visit-Faculty of Computer & Information Technology

Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) panels and officers visited MEDIU for its accreditation visit for Faculty of Computer & IT academic program on Wednesday-Thursday,25-26 February 2014. The delegation panels were Assoc Prof. Datin Dr. Noor Habibah Arshad (UiTM), Dr. Azidah Abu Ziden (USM), Dr Ramlah Mailok (UPSI) and Assoc Prof. Dr. Zulkifli Mohamed Udin (UUM). Meanwhile MQA officer were represented by Puan Naziatul Ilyana Ilyas and Puan Nor Izumee Ramli.

The academic program that were being evaluated are Bachelor of Information Technology in System Development and Administration (Hons) PA9477 & PA0787 (OL & OC) and Master of Science in Information and Communication Technology (By Research) PA0253 (OL/OC). The delegation was welcomed by MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division; Associate Professor Dr Hj. Wan Mat Hj Sulaiman, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and IT ; Asst. Prof. Dr. Najeeb Abbas Al-Sammarraie, faculty members, registrar personnel and administrative officers were involved in the visit as well.

The evaluation of the two programs involves discussion and interview session with the deans and lecturers, reviewing of documentation as well as interviewing the students and lecturers through online method. At the end of the visit, MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division presented token of appreciation to the delegates and later followed by an office tour around MEDIU’s academic and administrative facilities.
