Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) received an honored delegation visit from Sheikh Eid Charitable Association, Qatar on Sunday evening, 14 December 2014. The delegation was represented by H.E Khalil Al-Zeer, Executive Director of Sheikh Eid Charitable Association and accompanied by Mr.Hashim Al Awadi, Assistant General Director and Mr. Miqdad Tarhuni, Director of the General Director Office. The honored delegates was welcomed by MEDIU’s Honorable CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi in his office and expressed his delight for the visit, which comes within the framework of cooperation between the university and international charity organization.
The honored guest expressed his gladness of visiting MEDIU to view closely on the modern technology in support to the e-learning process as well as the have a closer insights on the achievements by the University’s. During the discussion with MEDIU’s Honorable CEO, the honored guest praised MEDIU’s role in enhancing the usage of modern technology among Muslim in disseminating knowledge throughout the globe. MEDIU’s Honorable CEO expressed his gratitude for the visit and his keenness to increase the opportunities for constructive cooperation between the two parties in the implementation of social welfare service and charity projects which benefited the Islamic nation.
Sheikh Eid Charitable Association,Qatar (http://www.eidcharity.net/site/) was formed in the month of Ramadhan 1996 and was named after H.E Sheikh Eed ibn Muhammad ibn Thaani ibn Jasim ibn Muhammad ibn Thani who was famous for his benevolence and keenness to execute charitable projects inside and outside Qatar. The charitable association mission is to execute charitable projects, developing volunteering work and preserving noble values through skilled human resources, dynamic administrative systems and strategic organization.
At the end of the visit, the delegates were taken for a tour to view MEDIU’s academic and technology facilities accompanied by Asst. Prof. Dr Mohammed Abdulrazzaq Nasser, MEDIU’s Dean of Admission and Registration and was impressed on MEDIU’s significant contribution towards the development of the knowledgeable society in spreading the message of Islam.
