MEDIU’s 37th Academic Senate Meeting

MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 37^th Academic Senate Meeting for the year 2014 on Tuesday, 22 July 2014. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.

Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:

• To award the student [PQR113AR207] majoring PhD in Qira’aat (By Research)
• To award the student [MAR123AY653] majoring Master in Arabic Language (Structure B) with CGPA:3.64
• To award the student [MQR131AY981] majoring Master in Qira’aat (By Research)
• To award the student [MAR123AV800] majoring Master in Arabic Language (By Research)
• To approve the recommendation on the appeal results of students for 27 students for Feb 2014 semester by the Board of Examination.
• To approve the admission for the student [ADM14BH210] majoring Master in Fiqh (By Research) through the open entry requirement.
• To approve the admission for the student [ADM14BH211] majoring Master in Usul Al-Fiqh (By Research) through the open entry requirement.
• To approve the final results of graduated on-line students (Semester Feb 2014) in the Bachelor program for the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology (Intake Feb 2011)
• To approve the final results of graduated students (Semester Feb 2014) in the Bachelor program for the Faculty of Islamic Sciences (Intake Feb 2010)
• To approve the final results of graduated students (Semester Feb 2014) in the Master program for the Faculty of Islamic Sciences (Intake Sept 2009)
• To terminate students who fail to sit in all final examination papers without reasons according to Article 20 of the Executive Rules of Student and Examination.
