MoU between MEDIU – Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Berhad (HLM Takaful)

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) has step forward in extending bridges of cooperation and moving ahead towards achieving its objective and vision, through partnerships and collaboration. MEDIU recently signed a MOU signing ceremony with Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Berhad (HLM Takaful) for the purpose of establishing and solemnize Shariah Certification program. The session was held on Monday, 26 May 2014 at Hong Leong’s Headquarters in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

MEDIU representatives during the signing ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. AB Rahim Ismail; Deputy CEO of Research and Development and Mr. Abdilahi Liban from the Development and Training Department.Meanwhile, HLM Takaful Management were represented by Mr. Wan Mohd Fadzlullah Bin Wan Abdulla; Chief Executive Officer of HLM Takaful and Mr.Mohd Helmi Bin Ahmad; Head of Shariah. Under the MoU, MEDIU will cooperate in issuing certificate to HLM Takaful employees on the short training program in the basics of Shariah and its application in Islamic Finance that will commence in June.

The session begins with an opening speech by CEO of HLM Takaful and followed by a welcoming remark by Assoc. Prof. Dr. AB Rahim Ismail. A brief tazkirah in conjunction with Isra’ wal Mi’raj  was delivered by MEDIU’s representative; Asst. Prof. Dr. Usman Jakfar. At the end of the signing ceremony, a memorable plaque was presented to CEO of HLM Takaful as a token of appreciation.
