Islamic Talk Show Program with Radio IKIM.fm

To uphold the Al-Quran and Qiraat education and efforts towards developing Quran literacy in line with the latest technological developments, MEDIU’s lecturer in the Faculty of Islamic Sciences; Ustaz Mohamad Anas Naji was invited to be the guest speaker for the recording program which was held in IKIM.fm recording studio on Friday, 28 February 2014. He was accompanied by Head of Public Relations Department; Mr. Jamaluddin Hussain. The recording program session was conducted by Mrs. Mona Jazman, the Producer of ‘Hayya Bil Arabiyya Program’ IKIM.fm(91.5FM).

The discussion focused on the Quran and Qiraat education, enlightened in general in relation to the types of Qiraat and requirements necessary for someone who wants to learn the Qiraat knowledge. Ustaz Mohamad Anas Naji also recited few  verses of the Quran with Qiraat ‘Assyatibi’ common used by Qari and authentic readings on Tajweed and makhraj of Qiraat ‘Hafs’.

At the end of the session, he prompted to all the Islamic and religious teachers to improve and broaden their knowledge in Qiraat field and strive to enhance in their teaching methods; thus to increase and inspire the students interest in learning the Al-Quran. Despite the use of latest technology in Al-Quran development, he advised the learning of Al-Quran should be accompanied by a teacher as the advanced methods will just be a guidance to improvise it.
