Workshop: Outcome Based Education (OBE) with MQA Requirements

MEDIU’s Research and Development (R&D) Division held a one day workshop session on “Outcome Based Education (OBE) with MQA Requirements” on Thursday, 8 September 2016. The session was presented by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Syed Ahamad bin Sheikh Aljunid; an academician from the Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). The workshop session were led by Deputy CEO, R&D Division; Assoc. Prof. Dr. AB Rahim Ismail and attended by nearly 40 academician, deans and faculty members.

The aim of the workshop is to ensure MEDIU’s programs conform to the Outcomes Based Education (OBE) and MQA Code of Practice for Programme Accreditation (COPPA) standards.

The topics covered in the one day session among others are assessing the current university’s programme educational objectioves (PEO), program learning outcomes (PLOs), course learning outcomes (CLOs), re construct it based on the MQA standards and such.

The participants were delighted on such workshop as it has equipped them with necessary knowledge and outcome based education skills and as well as to promote academic development among the academician.
