Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) received a visit from School of Graduate Studies, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) on Thursday, 4 July 2019 in the framework of ODL-related benchmarking program to view the online distance learning (ODL) practiced by MEDIU as well as to explore collaborative opportunities between the two universities.
UTM delegates was led by Prof. Dr. Nazri bin Ali, Assoc.Chair for Offshore & Special Program; Dr. Norah binti Md Noor, Assoc. Chair for System & Professional Development; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ts Siti Sophiayati binti Yuhaniz, Academic Manager (School of Graduate Kuala Lumpur) and others. The delegates was welcomed by MEDIU’s representatives namely Prof. Emeritus Dr. Ismawi Zen; MEDIU’s CEO, Prof. Dr. Ab Rahim Ismail; Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division and Internationalization , Mr. Zainul Azhan Ahmad Bashir; Chief Technology Officer and Asst. Prof. Dr. Tayeb Mebrouki; Director Centre of Postgraduate Studies
Among the areas that were discussed are on common areas between both university in the aspect of online distance learning (ODL) environment, framework for delivery of online academic programs. The representatives of the universities further discussed the possible areas of collaboration in other academic development matters.
