Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) received a visit from Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) on Wednesday, 19 June 2019 in the framework of ODL-related benchmarking program to view the online distance learning (ODL) practiced by MEDIU as well as to explore collaborative opportunities between the two universities.
USIM delegates was led by Prof Madya Dr. Madihah Mohd Saudi, Chief Information Officer; Prof. Madya Dr. Mohammad Najib Jaffar, e-Learning Coordinator; Dr. Ahmad Fadly Nurullah Rasedee, Coordinator of Big Data; Mr. Mohd Saiful Abdul Samad, Deputy Director of Teaching & Learning Innovation Division,GOAL- ITQAN and Mr. Mohd Syafaat Sapari, Senior Assistant Registrar of CIO. The delegates was welcomed by MEDIU’s representatives namely Prof. Dr. Ab Rahim Ismail; Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division and Internationalization, Prof. Dr. Hj. Wan Sulaiman Bin Wan Yusoff; Deputy CEO of Student Affairs, Research and Innovation, Mr. Zainul Azhan Ahmad Bashir; Chief Technology Officer, Asst. Prof. Dr. Tayeb Mebrouki; Director Centre of Postgraduate Studies, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doucoure Abdou Samadou; Dean Faculty of Islamic Sciences and Prof. Dr. Daud Abdul Quadir Elega; Dean Centre of Preparatory Studies and Language.
Among the areas that were discussed are on common areas between both university in the aspect of online distance learning (ODL) environment, framework for delivery of online academic programs. The representatives of the universities further discussed the possible areas of collaboration in other academic development matters.
