Visit to the Office of the Secretary General, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) has made an official visit to the Office of the Secretary General, Ministry of Higher Education, Honorable Dato ‘Seri Ir. Dr. Zaini Ujang on Thursday, 21 January 2016. The visit was led by MEDIU’s Honorable CEO, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi and accompanied by Deputy CEO Academic Affairs Diviison, Assoc.Prof.Dr.Wan Mat Wan Sulaiman and Manager of Administrative Affairs Division, Mr.Fuad Ahmad Umar Al’As.

The delegates was welcomed by Dato ‘Seri Ir. Dr. Zaini at his office in Putrajaya and welcomes the presence of university’s management in the framework to discuss several matters relating to the approval of academic programmes,  the latest development of the university and discussing several matters in regards to the relationship between the university and the ministry. The Secretary General reported that the Ministry of Higher Education will accelerate the university’s file and show that the ministry is considering MEDIU as an exemplary model of a modern university. In the same context, he stated that one of the factors used by the Ministry of Higher Education to assess the performance of universities is the growing rate of students and the role of universities in research studies and commented that the university should consider this issue as a matter of principle and give greater attention.

At the end of the discussion, Dato ‘Seri Ir. Dr. Zaini said his office is always ready for any concerns arise by the university and deeply appreciate Honorable CEO for the visit and  wishes the university to be more prosperous in the future.
