Official Visit to Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), Jeddah

MEDIU’s Honorable CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi made an official visit to the Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, 18 October 2016. He was welcomed by the Director General, Professor Azmi Omar and Director of Training & Information and Knowledge Services Department, Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Iskanderani.

CEO expressed his pleasure for the friendly visit, which aims to link and strengthen the cooperation between the university with other highly esteemed Islamic institutions, in the field of academic and scientific research.

During the discussion, both parties discussed ways of potential collaboration in research projects, training and consulting in the organization of conferences, seminars and workshops, especially in the areas of Islamic finance. It concludes that potential collaboration will be during the visit to Malaysia for the International Shari’ah Scholars Forum on 1-2 November 2016.
