Visit to Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU), Riyadh

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) had an official visit to tPrincess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Thursday, 27 October 2016. The visit was led by MEDIU’s Honorable CEO, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Tamimi during his working visit to Kuwait with the aim to strengthen ties between MEDIU and international islamic educational institution

CEO was welcomed by Dr. Khader Ben Ali Bashiri Zahrani, Executive Director of International Affairs and Member of Trustees of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in the presence of representatives from the department of international affairs.

During the visit, CEO highlight on the university history and academic achievements especially in the academic programs recognition by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency, with the current total of 70 academic programs has received full accreditation status out of 108 programs offered by the university. At the end of the visit, university’s corporate book was presented as token of appreciation by MEDIU’s Honorable CEO and expressed his pleasure for the friendly visit, and hope to collaborates in the academic and scientific areas.

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) (http://www.pnu.edu.sa/en) is a public women’s university located in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. It is the largest university for women in the world. The university offers diplomas, bachelor and postgraduate degrees. PNU is one of the outcomes of the attention given to the higher education of women established in 1970. The inauguration of more colleges followed, reaching 102, ranging from university colleges to intermediary colleges and community colleges. These were distributed over 72 Saudi cities and included 600,000 students. In Riyadh alone there are six colleges; namely the College of Education for Liberal Arts Disciplines, the College of Education for Scientific Disciplines, the College of Education for the Development of Teachers, the College of Social Services, the College of Home Economics and the College of Fine Arts.
