Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) received an honored guest, Dr. Muhammad Hidayat Nur Wahid; Vice Chairman, People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia on Wednesday, 25 May 2016. Dr.Wahid’s received an invitation to attend university as a keynote speaker for the program MEDIU 1st Conference on Islamic Sciences (MICIS 2016). The honored guest was welcomed by Honorable CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi in the presence of Deputy CEO of R&D, Assoc.Prof.Dr.AB Rahim Ismail and Dean, faculty of Islamic Sciences; Assoc.Prof. Dr.Usman Jakfar. CEO expressed his appreciation for his willingness to accept the invitation of the university. The honored guest expressed his gladness of visiting MEDIU and expressed his admiration on the level the University’s has reached in using the modern technology in support to the e-learning process.
Dr. Wahid’s expressed his privileged of visiting MEDIU by stating in the guest book, “Such an honor and pride to visit Al-Madinah International University, a distinguished university with its e-learning curricula, achievements and ambitions under the leadership of Prof. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi, a university that is on the right steps in producing a generation of educated Muslims. May Allah bless the noble efforts of this university and to all the staff.”
Dr. Muhammad Hidayat Nur Wahid has completed his doctorate degree in the Islamic University of Madinah in 1992 and currently is the Vice Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia since 2014. He has held various leadership positions in the Indonesian Parliament in his political career. Dr. Wahid is also a member of the Constituent Council of the Muslim World League besides actively leads some organizations at the regional and national level.
