Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) received a delegation visit from thePrincess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU), Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, 23-24 May 2016. The honored delegates was welcomed by Honorable CEO, Prof.Dr.Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi with the aim to look more closely in MEDIU’s implementation on online education hence discussing related matters pertaining to it.
During the visit, Prof.Dr.Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi states that the orientation of the University ‘s education system is in the adoption of the latest technology as well as a pioneer in e-learning method in pursuit of global modern educational system. He also stressed on University’s commitment to support the education career by adopting the latest technology in the curriculum. A visual presentation on MEDIU, its techniques and educational administrative process as well as on the technology infrastructure, overview on Campus Management System (CMS) and presentation on Advanced Learning i -Management (ALIM) were being presented to the honored delegation.
At the end of the visit, token of appreciation were presented to the delegation and this was later followed by an office tour around MEDIU ‘s academic and administrative facilities. The delegates were impressed on the progress and efforts conducted by its Honorable CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi and convey their admiration towards MEDIU achievements and reputation in a short period of time since its inception by stating in the guest book, “I had the opportunity to visit Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) and view on the excellence achievement of the university and meet up with Honorable CEO to view on his vision on the integrated e-learning system and may success be with the university in the global dissemination of knowledge.”
Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) (http://www.pnu.edu.sa/en) is a public women’s university located in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. It is the largest university for women in the world. The university offers diplomas, bachelor and postgraduate degrees. PNU is one of the outcomes of the attention given to the higher education of women established in 1970. The inauguration of more colleges followed, reaching 102, ranging from university colleges to intermediary colleges and community colleges. These were distributed over 72 Saudi cities and included 600,000 students. In Riyadh alone there are six colleges; namely the College of Education for Liberal Arts Disciplines, the College of Education for Scientific Disciplines, the College of Education for the Development of Teachers, the College of Social Services, the College of Home Economics and the College of Fine Arts.
