Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) received a delegation visit from the International Islamic University Malaysia(IIUM) on Friday, 25 April 2014. The visit was aim to look more closely in MEDIU’s implementation in receiving the high rank for the Web World University Ranking (Webometrics) among other universities in Malaysia hence discussing related matters pertaining to it.
The delegates were led by Asst.Prof.Dr.Mohaida Mohin, Deputy Director Corporate Communication Division; Assoc.Prof.Dr.Abd.Rahman Ahlan from Kuliyyah of Information & Communication Technology; Mrs. Siti Raiza Misbah from Corporate Communication Division; Mrs. Siti Thuraiya, Director Office of Deputy Rector and other departments personnel. The delegation was welcomed by MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Research and Development; Assoc. Prof. Dr. AB Rahim Ismail along with the department representatives.
Asst.Prof.Dr.Mohaida Mohin congratulates MEDIU on the success achieved recently in Web Matrix classification in February 2014, which MEDIU has rank first place among Malaysia private universities and occupies the seventh place among the universities in Malaysia in general.
During the visit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. AB Rahim Ismail states that the orientation of the University ‘s education system is in the adoption of the latest technology as well as a pioneer in e-learning method in pursuit of global modern educational system. He also stressed on University’s commitment to support the education career by adopting the latest technology in the curriculum. A visual presentation on MEDIU, its techniques and educational administrative process were also being presented to the honored delegation by Mr. Aiman Abdullah Mohamed.
At the end of the visit, token of appreciation were presented to the delegation and this was later followed by an office tour around MEDIU ‘s academic and administrative facilities. The IIUM delegates were impressed on the progress and efforts conducted by its Honorable CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi in ensuring teamwork and collaboration among the employees in contributing to the advancement of the University not only in Malaysia, but for the Asian region as well. They convey their admiration towards MEDIU achievements and reputation in a short period of time since its inception, thus expressed their desire to extend the bridges of cooperation as well as to strengthen the relationship between IIUM and MEDIU in regards to the research and development areas.
