Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) received a delegation visit from the Department of Syariah and Law, Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya (UM) on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. The delegation was led by Assoc.Prof. Dr. Mashitoh Binti Mahamood along with the project members Dr. Asmak Binti Ab. Rahman, En. Azizi Bin Che Seman, Dr. Nor ‘Azzah Binti Kamri and Ms. Nor Liana Binti Abdul Munim. The purpose of the visit is to share experience and knowledge in the development of waqf as well as to study the financing, development and investment of the university waqf using the instrument.
The delegates was welcomed by MEDIU’s CEO, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi in the presence of Deputy CEO R&D Division,Assoc. Prof.Dr.AB Rahim Ismail; Deputy CEO Student Affairs Division, Prof. Dr. Hj. Wan Sulaiman Yusoff; Manager of Administartive Affairs Division, Mr. Fuad Ahmad Al’As; Dean of Scientific Research,Assoc.Prof. Dr. Sekou Toure and Public Relations personnel.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi welcomed the visit and expressed his delightness of thevisit and hope the fruitful discussions will be beneficial to both the university and hopes to form relationships and closer collaboration in the future. The delegation was also briefed on MEDIU’s administration and education development system, the available courses offered as well as the development of MEDIU’s new campus in Section U1, Shah Alam.
Later, the honored Prof. Prof. Dr. Mashitoh Binti Mahamood expressed her admiration in the guestbook saying; “On behalf of the delegation of UM, we are very pleased that we had acquired a very good input and helpful information regarding the endowment institution that became the main topic of the meeting with the CEO and others.
