MEDIU participate in “University of the Future” Education Forum

MEDIU participate in educational forums organized by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. The forum was well received with the participation of senior officials and stakeholders in education in higher education institutions in the country. MEDIU was represented by the Deputy CEO of Research and Development, Assoc.Prof.Dr. AB Rahim Ismail.

The program was conducted to understand the trends and challenges that changing in the future, and to discuss, among other things, accommodate universities, promoting education and excellence in education and the internationalization of higher education studies and provide extensive teaching experience and global culture. Among the panellists of the forum are Tan Sri Dato Pof Dr Lin See Yan, Pro Chancellor USM; Tan Sri Prof Dato Dr Nordin Kardi, Rector of Kolej Universiti Islam Sultan Azlan Shah and Tengku Tan Sri Mahaleel B Tengku Arif, Director Tien Wah Press Holdings Bhd. The session moderator was the Director General, Department of Higher Education, Dato Prof Dr Asma bt Ismail.

The forum covers topics of discussion among others:

1. The need for universities to compete with current issues and needs in the skip future challenges.
2. The need to leave the domestic competition between universities and cooperation between universities in Malaysia.
3. Review the need for continuity and renewal programs and educational materials in the future.
