Training: Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM)

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) participated in the ‘Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager Training (SCCM)’ on 13-17 October 2014 at Info Trek Training Centre in Subang Jaya, Selangor. The training program was attended by MEDIU’s Technology and Infrastructure Services Division (TISD) personnel; Miss Asnita Hashim and Mrs.Shariha Abdul Rahim.

The 5 days training course equipped the participants with the knowledge and skills to configure and manage the Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager site and its associated site systems in the role of Configuration Manager Administrators. The Configuration Manager Administrators are responsible for configuring and managing one or more System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Sites and all supporting systems.

The training session allows the TISD team to inventory hardware and software on MEDIU’s campus in Plaza Masalam and U1 Tower and enabled them to remotely connect to client computers when users are facing problems. The key features of SCCM are hardware and software inventory that are installed on each campus machines. Thus, it enables the team to determine which computers in needs of memory upgrades, or a particular security update.
