Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) held a training program on ‘Data Analysis in Scientific Research (SPSS)’ on Wednesday, 20 January 2016. The training program which lasted for four days was organised by Deanship of University Development and Quality (DEUQ) under the supervision of MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Research and Development Division; Assoc. Prof. Dr. AB Rahim Ismail. The program was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Safia Naji Esmail Al-Duais, lecturer in the Faculty of Education.
Among the topics discussed are on the elements of data analysis in scientific research such as:
- Fundamentals (SPSS) program and the definition of variables.
- Data processing and how to deal with it.
- Conduct various transfers the data in the program (SPSS).
- Statistical descriptions and measurements of descriptive statistics and graphs to include nominal and quantitative variables.
- Analyzing variables data using statistical tests
The sessions have attracted the attendance of faculty members and students thus able to assist them in improving their aspects of personality, academic achievement as well as equipping them with more experience, skills and knowledge that can contribute to increased levels of intellectual.
