Training: Academic Research Skills

Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) held a training program on ‘Academic Research Skills’ on Wednesday, 20 January 2016. The training program was organised by MEDIU Center for Training and Continuing Education under the supervision of MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Research and Development Division; Assoc. Prof. Dr. AB Rahim Ismail.  The program was led by Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Ali Alkhawlani, Deputy Dean Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences.

Among the topics discussed are elements of scientific research such as scientific research subject selection, preparation of research plans, a list of research content sources of information, referral and documentation as well as scientific barriers and how to overcome it. The presenter stressed on the importance of documenting research and scientific documentation reference to the optimal use and the skills of scientific reference procedures and reviewing the content of a report documenting research in peer-reviewed journals. The importance of the training session gains great benefit and interest for the researchers in the development of students’ skills as well as to promote research and academic abilities in their scientific diversity.
