Students Study Experience in Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) – Arabic

An interview session was conducted by the Public Relations Department with the co-operation from the Students Affairs Department to conduct interviews with students from different fields to identify their learning experience inside the multicultural and multinational Islamic university environment.

Interview 1:

Mohd Suhail Bin Lukman – Malaysia

Bachelor of Islamic Sciences(Hons) in Fiqh and Usul Fiqh

  1. Why did you apply to Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU)?
  • MEDIU is different from other universities due to the exceptional use of e-learning delivery, its scholarships and various academic programs that combine the study of Islam and contemporary sciences. The use oflanguageandflexible environmentgreatly simplifiesthe students tointegrateandadaptin thelearningenvironment. MEDIUis my prime choiceto study as theIslamicrulelearningmethod is basedon the teachings ofQur’an and Sunnah. I am proud as one of the student in MEDIU on its achievement as first place ranking for Malaysian private universities and ninth place for Malaysian universities in general, according to the Web Matrix(July 2014)
  1. Why did you choose the course you’re doing and what do you like about them?
  • I decided to pursue my studies in ‘Bachelor of Islamic Sciences(Hons) in Fiqh and Usul Fiqh’ to understand more on the language of the Qur’an and Sunnah as a guide to our Islamic practices and belief. As the Prophet Muhammad S.AW. said; Those of you who live long after me will see a lot of differences, so hold fast to my Sunnah and to the Sunnah of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs after me. Cling to it tightly and beware of newly-invented matters, for every newly invented matter is an innovation, and every innovation is misguidance, and all misguidance is in the Fire.”
  1. Which subject did you like best? Why?
  • Islamic Law, as it teaches on the right principles of all aspects in life.
  1. How will the academic program you’ve taken benefit your career in future?
  • Thelearning environmentand the vast use ofArabic language inMEDIUby its lecturers and students allowed metodeepenmycourse of study. I hope the knowledge I’ve gained here able to bring me to approach the public on the knowledge of Islamic jurisprudence in the future and am looking forward to learn more in this virtuous university.
  1. Name the lecturer that has create the most beneficial learning experience to you?
  • All the lecturers are very kind and helpful, but to me Asst. Prof. Dr Ayman Aied Mohammed Mamdouh is the best. His way of delivering lectures are smooth and easily understood as well as his friendly approach to the students.

Anas Adam Osman – Sudan

  1. Why did you apply to Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU)?
  • I have known MEDIU since its outset in Madinah, and ever since then I determined tos tudy in this University. Alhamdulillah, as a student of MEDIU, I felt the modern learning educational process has traditionally break the normal traditional method, thus able to attract more students. Certainly, it is a university that break the barriers of time and space.
  1. Do you feel proud of being a student in the No.1 Malaysian private universities, according to Web Matrix 2014 classification?
  • -Yes, of course. In addition, MEDIU’s performance is very encouraging despite its 7 years establishment. It has reached an encouraging various academic Islamic programs and hopefully continue to excel and succeed to provide valuable learning experience for the students.
  1. Why did you choose the course you’re doing and what do you like about them?
  • This course is in line with the current market requirements, which the revolution of information and technology sector and technical are mostly applied in everyday lifes.
  1. Describe your most interesting experience here in Malaysia?
  • Malaysia is not my first overseas destination. However, it is a very beautiful country and Alhamdulillah, I managed to adapt quickly as the Malaysians are very kind,approachable and multicultural.
