Mr. Abdul Wafi Azzaki bin Sinwan, student of Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) been selected to represent Malaysia in the King Abdul Aziz International Holy Quran Competition for Memorization, Recital and Interpretation 38th Session in Makkah, Saudi Arabia from 18 to 30 October 2016.
His departure to Saudi Arabia was sent by Dean Faculty of Languages, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daud Abdul Quadir Elega and his Deputy, Prof. Prof. Dr. Elsayed Mohamed Salem in the presence of Mr. Ahmad Syazwan Zainal Ariffin, President of the Student Representative Council (SRC MEDIU) at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) recently.
Previously, Mr Abdul Wafi Azzaki had won second place for the ‘Memorizing 30 Chapters of Quran’ at the 37th National Competition Memorization of Al-Quran which was held on 16-20 February 2016 in Amanjaya Convention Centre, Hotel Casuarina @ Meru, Ipoh in Perak. The closing and award giving ceremony was officiated by His Royal Majesty State of Perak Darul Ridzun, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah Al-Maghfullah.
