SPSS Training Program

Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) held a two days SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science) training program on Saturday-Sunday, 7-8 June 2014. A total of twenty-four(24) participants from the University’s faculty members, administrative officers and students participated in the training program which allows users to manage data sets and use various statistics for data analysis.

The program was organized by MEDIU Training & Continuing Education Center and the speaker was Mr.Soleyman Paydar and among the outline of the session are:

• Module 1 : Introduction to statistics, hypotheses and starting with SPSS
• Module 2 : Descriptive statistics , Comparative and correlation tests
• Module 3 : Regression and factor & reliability analysis
• Module 4 : Prediction models , mediation and moderation analysis

The training course equipped the participants on the fundamentals of using SPSS to perform basic statistical analyses, data checking and create simple tables and charts. Thus, it would help the participants in imparting knowledge to the students reflecting a positive image of education and academic process as a whole.
