Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Al-Madinah International University and Darul ‘Arafah Islamic University, Indonesia

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen international partnerships, Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) welcomed a delegation from Darul ‘Arafah Islamic University, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, Indonesia, on Wednesday, 4 February 2026. The visit marked the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for joint academic cooperation between the two institutions.

The MoU aims to support collaboration in the areas of scientific research, academic expertise exchange, and the organization of scholarly activities and joint courses among faculty members of both universities.

The visit program included an opening address, the MoU signing ceremony, and an academic tour for Darul ‘Arafah Islamic University students to MEDIU’s facilities, including the library and lecture halls. The visit concluded with an exchange of souvenirs and group photo sessions.

The MoU signing ceremony was chaired by Asst. Prof. TS. Dr. Ammar Bathich, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Al-Madinah International University. On behalf of MEDIU, the MoU was signed in the presence of Prof. Dr. Daud Abdul Quadir Elega, Director of International Relations. Meanwhile, Darul ‘Arafah Islamic University was represented by Prof. Dr. Al-Hajj Uthman Batawi, Rector of the University, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Faradat Kamal Limmī, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs.

This visit reaffirms Al-Madinah International University’s commitment to expanding its international academic cooperation network and supporting the advancement of education and scholarly endeavors.
