MEDIU participated in Seminar of Reconstructive Direction of Zakat Collection, USIM

Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) participated in the Seminar of Reconstructive Zakat Collection & Distribution in Malaysia with the theme “The Effectiveness of the Zakat Collection System and the Distribution”. The seminar was held in Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM) on 22 April 2015. The conference was organised by World Fatwa Management Research Institute (INFAD), USIM and the Federal Territory of Religious Council for Zakat Collection Centre (MAIWP).

MEDIU’s were represented by Asst. Prof.Dr. Yasser Mohamed Tarshany, Deputy Dean for the Faculty of Islamic Sciences whom were invited to represent the university and participated in the seminar. Among the presenters of the seminar are Datuk Dr. Zulkifli bin Mohamad Al-Bakri; Mufti of Federal Territory with his lectures entitled “The Value of Zakat” along with other academic representative from UKM, UNISEL, USIM on related topic in the collection and distribution of Zakat in eradicating poverty and unemployment, zakat distribution models that meet the conditions and other related matters. The seminar attracted the chief of zakat collection, a large number of leaders in academic and Islamic education who praised the role of Malaysia in solving the problem of poverty through charity and others.
