Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) recently organized the Qurban Eidul Adha worship ceremony from 7-17 August 2019 in various countries of the Africa regions. The program is part of the university’s corporate social responsibility in connection with community programs to strengthen relationships with Muslim communities worldwide and uphold the ukhwwah among Muslims in the spirit of Eidul Adha. The annual program is organized by the MEDIU Community Service Program led by Ust. Jamaluddin Hussain, Head of Public Relations Department and in collaboration with Badan Kebajikan Kakitangan Islam, Suruhanjaya Sekuriti (BAKTI).
The program has been successfully implemented in nearly 14 separate countries including Chad, Nigeria, Burundi, Rwanda, Kenya, Cox’s Bazar Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Yemen, Ivory Coast, Tanzania, Somalia, Ethiopia and the Congo covering the villages and other areas such as the Islamic education centers, Tahfiz Quranic Institutions, refugee settlements from neighboring countries, welfare and refugee camps, orphanages and others.
The program has the full cooperation of the local authorities of the Islamic Affairs Council and the Veterinary Department from respective countries including nearly 1,556 cows and 183 goats whose Qurban worship mission has been fully dedicated to humanitarian assistance programs.
