The Student Affairs Department of Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) has organized a ‘Ties with Our Beloved CEO’ program in conjunction with the appointment of a new Chief Executive, Prof. Emeritus Dr. Ismawi Zen. The program was held on Tuesday, 3 October 2017 in collaboration with the Malaysian Students Association (PERMAM) to celebrate the start of the new semester (September 2017) and the PERMAM Election and General Meeting Briefing attended by students, university students and staff.
Dean of the Student Affairs Department, Prof. Madya Dr. Yousef Abu Baker El-Ebiary, in his opening remarks, expressed his delight over the opportunity to hold such meetings with the students and emphasized the importance of open dialogue of students followed by welcoming remarks by Deputy Chief Executive of the Student Affairs Department, Prof. Madya Dr. Wan Mat Sulaiman, where he emphasized the importance of interacting with students directly and providing support to them constantly and to provide room for further obstacles faced by students in their educational journey.
Prof. Emeritus Dr. Ismawi Zen in his speech stated that the purpose of the meeting was to communicate directly between students and university administrators to listen to their opinions, suggestions and views and to discuss problems that posed as well as to hear their concerns and help with finding appropriate solutions that contributed to the improvement their learning life. During the meeting, he stressed the university’s sincerity to attract more Malaysian students to create a harmonious atmosphere, cultural exchange and acquire different knowledge. At the end of the meeting, he heard a lot of views and suggestions from the students and promised to consider it by saying that the university would hold a brilliant position and be proud of all those at the prestige level of the university. He also pointed out that his office was always open to students’ interactions to solve any problems they might encounter, including communication via e-mail.
