Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) international students recently participated in the International Students Sport Carnival (ISSC 2017) on 26-27 September 2017. MEDIU students participated in two sport events; football and volleyball match and was accompanied by the university personnel namely Mr. Helmi Murad Ebrahim Ahmed, Mr. Hani Mohammed Naji and Mr. Syed Mahbubul Alam Al-Hasani.
The two days sports carnival was organized by Multimedia Universit (MMU), Cyberjaya attracted nearly 550 students from 19 local higher learning institutions and competing in seven games.
MMU President, Professor Datuk Dr Ahmad Rafi Mohamed Eshaq stated in the opening ceremony that the carnival served as an enabler to inculcate healthy and productive integration amongst international students from various countries attending the public and private higher learning institutions in Malaysia. Meanwhile, Higher Education Deputy Minister; Datuk Dr. Mary Yap Kain Ching said that the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) hoped to produce graduates who excel beyond academic pursuits in sports as well as extra-curricular activities.
