Orientation Day for Malaysian Students (April 2017 Intake)

An orientation day to welcome the new students for the April 2017 intake was held on Wednesday, 3 May 2017. A total of fifteen (15) Malaysian students enrolled for the university’s program mostly in Foundation in Arabic Languages and Islamic Studies, Bachelor of Languages (Hons) in Arabic Language & Literature and Bachelor of Islamic Sciences.

The orientation program is collaborated under the Students Affairs Division led by Dean of Students Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Yousef Abu Baker El-Ebiary and Mr. Abdoulaye Mahamat Zakariya, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs Division along with the orientation committee namely Mr. Syed Mahbubul Alam Al-Hasani and Mrs. Atiqah Shakirah binti Shauki. Mr. Mohd Shahrin Ab Rahman, Head of Marketing and Deputy CEO of Research and Development Division, Assoc. Prof. Dr. AB Rahim Ismail were present during the session.

The registration of the new students were managed by Miss Nor Hanim binti Khalil and Mr. Muhammad Uwais As-Sadiq of the Marketing Department meanwhile Mr. Syed Mahbubul Alam Al-Hasani arrange on the orientation program. An opening speech and motivational talk by MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Research and Development Division, Assoc. Prof. Dr. AB Rahim Ismail in welcoming the new students by giving a welcome remarks and encouraging words to the students.

An introduction to MEDIU were delivered by Miss Nor Hanim binti Khalil and the orientation session continues with briefing session on academic,student portal and Advanced Learning & i-Management system(ALIM) presented by Mr. Muhammad Arsyad Aslam Bin Mohammad Ali; examination, records and credit transfer matters by Mr. Syazwan Khalis, briefing on financial matters by Mrs. Siti Masturah Azman, PTPTN and MARA study loan by Mrs. Nor Suhaza Mohmad Shah and a session on MEDIU’s digital library by Mr. Abdoulrahman Aljounaidi Mohd Ramez.
