Opening Ceremony Selangor International Indigenous Arts Festival 2015

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) students received an invitation by the Tourism Selangor to attend the Opening Ceremony of Selangor International Indigenous Arts Festival 2015, which was held recently on Saturday, 22 August 2015. The two days event was held at Taman Botani Negara Shah Alam.

MEDIU were represented by 25 students and led by Dean of student Affairs, Asst.Prof. Dr. Yousef Abu Baker El-Ebiary. The ceremony was officiated by Selangor Environment Committee Chairman; Elizabeth Wong which aimed at bringing awareness to the public on the culture and heritage of the indigenous people.

This inaugural event is one the highlights in the state of Selangor tourism calendar of events for the Visit Selangor Year 2015. The event showcases multiple performances by indigenous people, exhibits, a cultural night, carnival and such.
