MQA Accreditation Visit-November 2014

Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) panels and officers visited MEDIU for its accreditation visit for PhD academic program(online) for the Faculty of Islamic Sciences on Monday, 3 November 2014. The delegation panels were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Engku Ahmad Zaki Engku Alwi (UNISZA), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ammar Fadzil (UIA) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustaqim Mohd Zarif (USIM), meanwhile MQA officer were represented by Puan Rosmaliza Mohaidin.

The PhD program that were being evaluated is PhD in Tafsir and Ulum Al-Quran (A 11170). The delegation of panel was welcomed by MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division; Assoc.Prof. Dr Hj. Wan Mat Hj Sulaiman, along with the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences; Asst. Prof. Dr. Usman Jakfar along with the academic faculty members, registrar personnel as well as administrative officers.

The evaluation of the programs involves discussion and interview session with the deans and lecturers of the PhD programs reviewing of documentation as well as interviewing the students through online/on campus whom are taking the above said programs. At the end of the visit, MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division presented token of appreciation to the delegates and later followed by an office tour around MEDIU’s academic and administrative facilities.
