MQA Accreditation Visit-FFAS

Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) panels and officers visited MEDIU for its accreditation visit for PhD academic programs(online/on campus) for the Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences(FFAS) on Thursday, 13 November 2014. The delegation panels were Assoc.Prof. Dr. Che Ruhana Isa (UM), Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Kamal Abdul Rahman (UiTM), Assoc.Prof. Dr. Zaleha Abdul Shukor (UKM), Prof. Dr. Zainal Abidin Mohamed (UPM) and Dr. Goh Pek Chen (MMU,Melaka) meanwhile MQA officer were represented by Mr. Helmi Sebaweh @ Ahmad.

The PhD academic program that were being evaluated is PhD in Accounting (MQA/FA 0385) and PhD in Economics (MQA/FA 0386).  The delegation was welcomed by The delegation of panel was welcomed by MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division; Assoc.Prof. Dr Hj. Wan Mat Hj Sulaiman, Deputy CEO of Students Affairs Division; Assoc. Prof. Dr.Ismail Mat along with the Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences; Mr.Mohammed Abdullah Ali Alkhawlani along with the academic faculty members, registrar personnel as well as administrative officers.

The evaluation of the PhD programs involves discussion and interview session with the deans and lecturers, reviewing of documentation as well as interviewing the students and lecturers through online method. At the end of the visit, MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division presented token of appreciation to the delegates and later followed by an office tour around MEDIU’s academic and administrative facilities.
