MQA Accreditation Visit (PA0132 &PA021)

Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) panels and officers visited MEDIU for its accreditation visit for PhD academic program for Faculty of Islamic Sciences and Faculty of Education on Wednesday, 4 February 2015. The delegation panels were Dr. Khairul Anuar Mohamad (USIM), Mr. Ikmal Zaidi Hashim (KUIS), Assoc. Prof. Dr Muhamad Zahiri Awang Mat  (UPM), Dr. Mohd Aderi Che Noh (UKM) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdul Sukor Shaari (UUM) meanwhile MQA officer were represented by Puan Rosmaliza Mohaidin.

The PhD academic program that were being evaluated is PhD of Education (Curriculum and Instruction) – PA0132 and PhD in Qiraat (By Research) – PA0217. The delegation was welcomed by MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division; Assoc Prof. Dr Hj. Wan Mat Hj Sulaiman along with Dean of Faculty of Islamic Sciences; Asst. Prof. Dr. Usman Jakfar and Dean of Faculty of Education; Asst. Prof. Dr Ayman Aied Mohammed Mamdouh. Academic faculty members, registrar personnel and administrative officers were involved in the visit as well.

The evaluation of the two PhD programs involves discussion and interview session with the deans and lecturers, reviewing of documentation as well as interviewing the students and lecturers through online method. At the end of the visit, MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division presented token of appreciation to the delegates and later followed by an office tour around MEDIU’s academic and administrative facilities.
