MQA Accreditation Visit-October 2014

Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) panels and officers visited MEDIU for its accreditation visit for PhD academic programs(online/on campus) for the Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences on Monday-Tuesday,13-14 October 2014. The delegation panels were Assoc. Prof Dr. Khairul Anuar Mohd Ali (UKM), Assoc. Prof Dr. Norlida Kamaluddin (UiTM Shah Alam), Dr. Hj. Othman Chin (UNITEN Kuantan), Assoc. Prof Dr. Sharifah Alwiyah Syed Sahil (UiTM Shah Alam), Dr. Mohd Yahya Mohd Hussin (UPSI) and Assoc. Prof Dr. Muhammad Nasri Md Hussain (UUM). Meanwhile MQA officer were represented by Puan Asnita Isam.

The PhD programs that were being evaluated are PhD in Islamic Banking and Finance (MQA/FA 0387) and PhD in Business Management (MQA/FA 0388). The delegation of panel was welcomed by MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division; Assoc.Prof. Dr Hj. Wan Mat Hj Sulaiman, Deputy CEO of Students Affairs Division; Assoc. Prof. Dr.Ismail Mat along with the Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences; Mr.Mohammed Abdullah Ali Alkhawlani along with the academic faculty members, registrar personnel as well as administrative officers.

The evaluation of the programs involves discussion and interview session with the deans and lecturers of the PhD programs reviewing of documentation as well as interviewing the students through online/on campus whom are taking the above said programs. At the end of the visit, MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division presented token of appreciation to the delegates and later followed by an office tour around MEDIU’s academic and administrative facilities.
