Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) panels and officers visited MEDIU for its accreditation visit for Faculty of Islamic Sciences on Wednesday-Thursday,4-5 March 2015.. The delegation panels were Dr. Mohd Khairul Nizam Nazri (USIM), Dr. Wan Zulkifli Wan Hassan (UKM) and Mr. Hazamzaem Husin (MMU). Meanwhile MQA officer were represented by Puan Siti Nur Azreen Teroh.
The academic program that were being evaluated are Master in Fiqh (B & C) – FA 0774 and Master in Usul Al-Fiqh (B & C) – FA 0775. The delegation was welcomed by MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division; Assoc Prof. Dr Hj. Wan Mat Hj Sulaiman along with Dean of Faculty of Islamic Sciences; Asst. Prof. Dr. Usman Jakfar, Head of Fiqh and Usul Fiqh Department; Asst. Prof. Dr. Umar Aliyu Abubakar, faculty members, registrar personnel and administrative officers were involved in the visit as well.
The evaluation of the two programs involves discussion and interview session with the deans and lecturers, reviewing of documentation as well as interviewing the students and lecturers through online method. At the end of the visit, MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division presented token of appreciation to the delegates and later followed by an office tour around MEDIU’s academic and administrative facilities.
