Memorandum of Cooperation with Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU)

MEDIU has step forward in extending bridges of cooperation and moving ahead towards achieving its objective and vision, as well to be in connection with international charity organisation. Recently, MEDIU signed a memorandum of cooperation with Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) on Monday, 19 January 2015.

MEDIU representative during the signing ceremony were MEDIU’s Honorable CEO; Prof. Dr Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Tamimi meanwhile, Arakan Rohingya Union were represented its General Coordinator, Dr.Abu Siddique Arman.

The memorandum agreement provided to enhance the objectives of fostering the collaboration between MEDIU and the organization, to emphasizes the sharing of knowledge and technical skills, promoting effective educational system through the cooperation and by providing assistance to students to continue their studies that were deterred by the situation in Burma. Honorable CEO acknowledged the important of the cooperation as it will give benefits to MEDIU and provide opportunities to its students who intend to pursue their studies to the higher level and strongly supports humanitarian projects to help the aspects of education for students around the world as the organisation aims are to seek Rohingya educational development and rehabilitation admission of larger numbers of Rohingya students to world universities

Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) http://ar-union.org is an umbrella group for Rohingya organizations from around the world. The ARU works to protect the rights of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar with the objectives to improve living conditions for Rohingyas in Arakan and to seek better protection for Rohingya Muslim community living in Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
