Council Meeting of Private Higher Education Management with the Private Higher Learning Institutions (IPTS) – Central Zone 2014

Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) attended a one day meeting session of Private Higher Education Management with the Private Higher Learning Institutions (IPTS) on Saturday, 8 November 2014 at Summit Hotel, Subang Jaya in Selangor. The meeting focus on the session with the Private Higher Learning Institutions located in the Central Zone and was officiated by the Deputy Director General of Private Higher Learning Institutions; Honorable Datuk Prof Dr. Roziah Binti Omar.

The session was attended by MEDIU representatives led by Assoc.Prof.Dr Hj. Wan Mat Hj Sulaiman; Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division, Mr.Fuad Ahmad Umar Al Rear; Manager of Administrative Affairs Division and Asst.Prof.Dr.Shaker Bany Melhem; Dean of Student Services Department.

The objective of the meeting is to create awareness and understanding about the needs of private institutions comply with the law as provided under the Private Higher Educational Institutions Act 1996 (Act 555) and the disclosure of the presentation by the relevant bodies such as the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), Department of Protection of Personal Data and the implementation of good & service tax (GST) for education sector.
