MEDIU’s CEO Interview Session with China Daily Press

Towards a comprehensive report on the quality of the education sector in Malaysia, Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) represented by its CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad bin Khalifa Al-Tamimi was interviewed by the China Daily Press officials on Wednesday, 19 March 2014 in his office. The interview was conducted by Miss Shanta Dwarkasing; China Daily’s Project Director and witnessed by Mr. Antonio Duque; Editorial Director.

During the initial interview session, Prof Dr Mohammad bin Khalifa Al-Tamimi stated on the University’s objectives, vision and mission in ensuring the quality of the education and the academic generation in disseminating of Islamic knowledge and education to the whole Ummah especially in the Malaysian region.

MEDIU’s CEO also specified its reasons in choosing Malaysia as the prime location in creating an educational system based on modern technologies and methods; amongst the reasons are Malaysia’s in the efforts of creating an educational hub for higher educational sectors, the quality and efficiency of education in Malaysia especially in terms of the low tuition fees and living expenses compared with the Western countries as well as the recognition of Malaysia as a center of international education community.

MEDIU’s inception in the year 2008 has received approval from Malaysia Ministry of Education to establish a private educational institution as well as a pioneer in the delivery of knowledge and education through the latest technology and modern means of delivery through ‘e-learning’.

MEDIU uniqueness is that it is not a local university or branch from a global university, in fact it is an international university based in Malaysia; an educational institution that channels and offers academic programs for all ages from short courses, foundation, undergraduates and post graduates programs through a choice of two languages medium; English language and Arabic language with two modes of study; distance learning ‘e-learning’ or conventional. The uniqueness of MEDIU has attracts various cultural and ethnic diversity of students from all over 90 countries around the world as part of the allure of this university.

 

At the end of the session, MEDIU’s CEO believed the University’s will try to overcome all the obstacles and challenges in terms of the educational requirements thus in terms of upgrading the scientific research to deliver the high-skilled graduates. CEO’s also expressed his appreciation to the China Daily Press initiative for their willingness in choosing MEDIU to deliver the information on MEDIU’s achievement and excellence; indeed the opportunity has given a positive impact on the education sector not only in Malaysia but globally as well.
