
MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division; Assoc. Prof. Dr Hj. Wan Mat Hj Sulaiman chaired the 35th Academic Senate Meeting for the year 2014 on Wednesday, 2 July 2014. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed among the senate members.
Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:
- To terminate students from the Faculty of Islamic Sciences who fail to sit in all final examination papers without acceptable excuse according to Article 20 of the Executive Rules of Study and Examinations.
- To terminate students with CGPA < 1.67 according to Part 1 Article 32 from the Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Languages and Faculty of Computer and Information Technology.
- To terminate undergraduate students from the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Faculty of Languages and Faculty of Computer and Information Technology who failed (F) in two consecutive semesters, according to Part 6 of Article 32.
- To terminate students from the Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences who fail to sit in all final examination papers without acceptable excuse in Feb 2014 according to Article 20 of the Executive Rules of Study and Examinations.
- To terminate students from the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology who fail in a major subject for three(3) times in a row.
- To terminate students from the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology who fail to sit in all final examination papers without acceptable excuse in Feb 2014 according to Article 20 of the Executive Rules of Study and Examinations.
- To approve the appeal results of students for Feb 2014 semester.
