MEDIU’s 18th Academic Senate Meeting

MEDIU’s deputy CEO; Assoc. Dr. Wan Mat chaired the 18^th Academic Senate Meeting for the year 2014 on Friday, 4 April 2014. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.

Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:

• To award student [MTF113AR514] majoring Master in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al-Quran (Structure B) with CGPA:3.84
• To award student [PBM113AQ656] majoring PhD in Business Management (Structure A)
• To award student [MTF111AH782] majoring Master in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al-Quran (Structure A)
• To award student [MAR111AJ565] majoring Master in Arabic Language (Structure B) with CGPA:3.61
• To terminate ‘8 master students’ from the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology who fail to sit in all final examination papers in Sept 2013 according to Article 35 of the Postgraduate Rules.
• To terminate student [MIT133BA841] due to CGPA less than (2.00) due to no improvement to develop the CGPA to (3.00) in the coming semester.
• To terminate ‘8 master students’ from the Faculty of Languages who fail to sit in all final examination papers in Sept 2013 according to Article 35 of the Postgraduate Rules.
• To approve the final results of on-campus student Sept 2013 [BBA111AJ731] from the Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences for the intake of Feb 2011.
• To approve the appeal of 2 students of intake Sept 2013 after considering their checking request.
• To approve the Academic Calendar for intake April 2014.
